These terms describe use of the current base64.lol tools and documentation. Last updated: November 3, 2026.
Using the tools
You are responsible for the material you choose to process and for having permission to use it. Do not use the service to disrupt systems, evade access restrictions, distribute unlawful content or interfere with other users.
Results and original files
Keep an original copy of important inputs. Conversions may change formatting, metadata, image quality, fonts, layout or document structure depending on the operation. Inspect the result in the application that will consume it. A format-recognition message does not certify that a file is complete, secure or suitable for a particular purpose.
Availability and changes
The tools are provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every file, or correctness for every edge case. Features, limits and deployment addresses may change. Published documentation should be read with the version and update date relevant to your workflow.
Content and third-party services
You retain rights in your own input and output material. External standards, libraries and linked services remain subject to their respective terms and licenses. Their names are used for identification, without implying endorsement. Remote tools may send the information needed for a requested operation to those services, as described in the privacy notice.
Important decisions
Tool output and tutorials are technical assistance, not a substitute for independent verification in high-impact workflows. Do not rely on a decoded token as proof of authorization or an encoding result as protection for confidential information. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
